1.2.3 When to Create a New Item (New NOBB Number)

In some situations, certain changes cannot be made to an existing item, and a new item must be created with a new NOBB number. The following situations require the creation of a new item with a new NOBB number:

  • If the item's appearance (physical characteristics) has changed, such as technical properties, color, dimensions, documentation, etc.

  • When the price unit must be changed. It is not possible to change the price unit for an approved item.

  • When the F-pak must be changed (the quantity and packaging type of the consumer packaging).

The table below shows examples of changes that require or do not require the creation of a new item with a new NOBB number.
