1.4 Packaging and Logistics Information

Logistics information is a common term for information related to an item's packaging. Packaging refers to the units an item is sold in through the value chain, e.g., piece, package, carton, pallet, etc.

Every unit an item is typically sold in should be registered as packaging. There must be at least one packaging registered per item.

Requirements for completing and content on packaging are defined per item type.

See chapter 1.2.1 for requirements for information on different item types, which outlines the minimum requirements for content per item type.
