What is a price comparison unit (PCU)

The price comparison unit (PCU) is a unit that makes it possible to compare prices. For example, in grocery stores, shelf labels often show the price per kilogram, liter, etc.

In collaboration with the building materials industry, it has been defined which units should be used as price comparison units for selected NOBB item groups.

When an item does not have the same price unit or packages that correspond to the PCU, a conversion factor must be registered.
