Safety Data Sheets in NOBB Supplier

To register machine-readable data from an SDS (Safety Data Sheet) in NOBB, the SDS itself must first be uploaded to NOBB Supplier. Our interpretation service will then read through the datasheet to extract relevant information and assist the supplier with the registration. Note that this is an interpretation service trained on various datasheets, but the supplier is still responsible for verifying the information and completing any missing parts. Due to large variations in document structure, the results may vary.
The supplier is also responsible for ensuring that the safety data sheet is valid in Norway.

  • Upload the Safety Data Sheet

  • Check data and complete remaining info

  • Submit for Approval

  • Link published SDS to items in NOBB

Terminology description Safety Data Sheet

What happens if the safety data sheet is already retrieved to http://Nobb.no from ECO Online?
Even if your company has safety data sheets registered with ECO Online that are already displayed on http://Nobb.no , you can still upload these in NOBB Supplier to make them machine-readable.

What will then appear on http://Nobb.no is the safety data sheet you uploaded in NOBB Supplier. This means http://Nobb.no and other data exports from NOBB prioritize SDS information from NOBB Supplier over EcoOnline.
If it only exists in EcoOnline, it will still be exposed to users of NOBB services.

The purpose of uploading it in NOBB Supplier is to make the data fields machine-readable, thus enabling use in various IT solutions within trade and other industry actors.
