1.7.1 Company Certifications
The following certificates and approvals can be linked to a company in NOBB:

CSA | CSA Certificate | Indicates whether the company is CSA certified. Certification for responsible, sustainable sourcing of timber. Applies to the entire value chain. |
EMAS | EMAS Certificate | Indicates whether the supplier is EMAS certified. EMAS stands for EU Eco-Management and Audit Scheme. Applies to the manufacturer and the entire itemion process. |
ETHA | Report from Ethical Trade Norway | Report documenting due diligence for sustainable supply chains, including decent work, human rights, environment/climate, anti-corruption, and animal welfare. |
EUBL | EU Flower | Indicates whether the supplier has items marked with the EU Ecolabel. The EU Ecolabel (the Flower) is the official European environmental label. The EU Ecolabel is similar to the Nordic Swan Ecolabel. |
FSC | FSC Certificate | FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) is a certification scheme for forestry. |
GRP | Green Dot | Indicates whether the supplier is a member of Green Dot. Green Dot is a non-profit company that finances return schemes for packaging types such as glass, plastic, metal, cardboard, drink cartons, and corrugated cardboard. |
ISO | ISO 9001 Certificate | Indicates whether the supplier is ISO 9001 certified. ISO 9001 is part of the ISO 9000 series of standards, which deal with quality management systems. |
ISO14001 | ISO 14001 Certificate | The ISO 14001 environmental management system is the international standard that defines recognized methods for systematic environmental management. |
ISO 45001 | ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety | A standard that sets minimum requirements for systems to protect workers from diseases and accidents caused by workplace conditions. |
ISO50001 | ISO 50001 Energy Management | A standard containing requirements for an energy management system to help businesses develop and implement policies and set goals that consider legal requirements and essential energy aspects. |
MFT | Environmental Lighthouse Certificate | Indicates whether the supplier is certified as an Environmental Lighthouse. Environmental Lighthouse is an environmental management system for public and private companies that want to document their environmental efforts. |
PEFC | PEFC Certificate | The PEFC label is an international certification scheme for wood and paper items to ensure sustainable forestry. |
RTR | Ruteretur | Indicates whether the supplier is a member of Ruteretur. Ruteretur is a non-profit company that collects discarded PCB sheets nationwide and ensures their safe treatment. |
SFI | SFI Certificate | Indicates whether the manufacturer is SFI certified. Forest Management Standard. A forest management standard applicable to manufacturers. |
STB | StartBank Registration Certificate | Indicates whether suppliers are members of StartBank. StartBank is a database of supplier information for use in the construction industry. |
STBE | StartBank Self-Declaration | An addition to the StartBank registration certificate. The StartBank self-declaration can simplify the internal work with the Transparency Act for buyers of building materials. |
SVANE | Swan Label | Indicates whether the supplier has Swan-labeled items. The label guarantees that the item is among the least environmentally damaging within its product group. |
