2.5 Item Information
Item
An item is defined as the individual item that a supplier produces and sells.
Item Types
There are five different item types in NOBB: Standard item, Special item, Display, Composite item, and Service item. For each of these, specific rules are defined regarding the required content in NOBB.
Price Comparison Unit (PSE)
A Price Comparison Unit (PSE) is a defined unit that allows for the comparison of prices across different item types. This is similar to what is used in grocery stores, where shelf labels indicate price per kilo, liter, etc.
In collaboration with the Construction product industry, specific units have been defined as the Price Comparison Unit for each NOBB product group. If an item does not have the same price unit or packaging as the PSE, a separate packaging with the PSE packaging class must be created.
Item expiry date
The expiry date should be specified when the item is no longer to be sold by the supplier. This is specified when the supplier's stock is empty.
Frost Resistance
Frost resistance is a yes/no field that informs the customer whether the item can tolerate frost (for transportation/storage of the item).
Has durability date
Has durability date is a yes/no field indicating whether the item has an expiration date.
Taxes
Taxes is a field where you can specify if an item has various types of taxes (e.g., battery tax). This is selected from a dropdown list.
Country of Origin
The country of origin indicates where the last significant processing of an item takes place.
The country of origin is registered for an item by selecting the country code from a predefined list according to Standard ISO 3166-1.
Launch Date
The launch date is information about when a new item is ready for sale and can be delivered by the supplier.
Customs Tariff Number
The customs tariff number indicates the import duties that should be applied to each item.
